THE MILL AT HOVERINGHAM WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Gen and Mikey didn't want too much fuss on their wedding day; they wanted their family and friends to enjoy the wedding day without being told what to do and when, by a loud wedding photographer, which is perfect for me as a documentary wedding photographer.
The day started for me 45 minutes before the start of the wedding ceremony at St. Stephen’s Church in Sneinton, Nottingham.
Gen arrived with her Dad in a converted old split-screen VW Camper, such a stunning wedding car, and one which has a special meaning to Gen and her Dad, as the family has always owned VW California’s, but non quite as special as this wedding car.
The wedding ceremony was a very special wedding service, as Mikey’s Dad is the Priest-in-Charge at St Stephen’s Church, and Mikey’s Gandad (who traveled from Ireland) was conducting the marriage ceremony.
After the wedding ceremony and Gen and Mikey getting covered in confetti, it was time for some cakes and drinks inside the Church, before the wedding guests headed over to The Mill at Hoveringham for the wedding reception.
The Mill at Hoveringham is a newly opened wedding venue, nestled in the Nottinghamshire countryside and only a stone’s throw away from my regular dog walking route down by the River Trent.
After a few quick drinks, and a couple of family formals, it was time for the first part of the speeches inside the smaller barn.
The wedding breakfast was held in the large barn, such a big space and perfect for the number of guests that Gen and Mikey had for their wedding reception.
Gen and Mikey had booked me for four hours of coverage for their wedding day, which was the perfect amount of time to capture guest arrivals at the Church, the wedding ceremony, the cakes and drinks at the Church, and up to the end of the wedding breakfast at The Mill at Hoveringham.
