WEDDINGS ON PUDDING PIE HILL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Becky and Jack didn't want too much fuss on their wedding day; they wanted a wedding surrounded by their closest family and friends. They saw my work as a Documentary Wedding Photographer as the perfect fit to capture their wedding photos.
The day started for me with Becky, her bridesmaids, and her closest friends, getting ready at Becky and Jack's house, I always like it when the bride gets ready in her own house, because it gives you an opportunity as a photographer to capture some images of things around the house that make the couple who they are, whether it be holiday photos, whether it be pictures on the wall or in Becky in Jack's case the new little puppy.
When I arrived, the hair and makeup were finishing up, and it wasn't long until Becky was being helped into her wedding dress by her closest friend and her mum.
One of my favorite images from the morning is Becky’s mum's reaction to seeing her in her wedding dress (there are a few more images from this moment in the main gallery below.
Becky and Jack had planned to have their wedding ceremony outside, but with the weather forecast for rain bang on the time of their wedding ceremony, they made a difficult choice to move the wedding ceremony inside the pub.
The wedding ceremony was a quick one with just two readings, and the legal bits all done and dusted within 20 minutes, which meant more time for the happy couple to spend with their family and friends.
Because of the rain and having to do the wedding ceremony inside, the ceremony room then needed to be turned around ready for the wedding breakfast, which gave everybody at the wedding, plenty of time for the canapés and drinks.
Once the wedding breakfast was finished, it was time for the all-important speeches; first up was Becky's dad, followed by her stepdad, then Jack the groom, and then Jack’s brother; the best man.
After the speeches, we managed to do a few family formals that the couple wanted; we had to delay this to later in the evening, due to the torrential rain we were having during the day, then it was time for the cake cut and the first dance.
