DODDINGTON HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Flora and James tied the knot in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Coach House, tucked away in the stunning grounds of Doddington Hall.
My day kicked off with Flora and her girls getting ready in the DELAVAL ROOMS – one of the lovely on-site accommodation options at Doddington Hall. The morning vibe was super chilled, with Flora, her bridesmaids, and a few close friends all doing their own thing, getting glammed up and sharing laughs along the way.
Once Flora was in her dress (and looking amazing!), it was time for a short stroll up the hill to the Coach House, where the garden ceremony was set to take place.
This was actually my first time photographing an outdoor wedding at Doddington – I’d previously only shot inside the Hall or in the Garden Room – so it was a real treat to be out in the open air, capturing a whole new side of the venue.
One of the best things about the outdoor setup? That glorious long aisle! It gave me loads of space and time to get creative with my shots – wide angles to show off the stunning garden surroundings, and close-ups of those all-important first glances between Flora and James. Pure magic.
The ceremony itself was heartfelt and personal, with Flora and James sharing beautiful vows. Being outside gave me room to quietly move around and catch some really lovely reactions from their family and friends too.
Once the official “I do’s” were done, we made our way to the main hall for confetti fun and a few family formals, before heading back to the Coach House for the all-important drinks reception.
The wedding breakfast took place in the Green Wing – a light, airy space that opens out onto a gorgeous private walled garden. Flora and James opted to do their speeches before dinner, and they kicked off straight away once everyone was seated. Flora’s dad led the way, followed by James, and then the best man brought it home with some brilliant stories.
The evening began with the cake cutting out in the walled garden, followed by a romantic first dance – and then came a fantastic surprise: traditional Albanian dancing to celebrate Flora’s heritage. It was such a fun, joyful way to get the party started!
